Olympus verifies the identity of account holders, and of the businesses and owners behind them, before some features are available. This is a regulatory requirement for financial services, not a special check on you.
What you may be asked for
- An identity document and a liveness check, so we can confirm the document is yours.
- Business documents, for business accounts.
- A declaration of the beneficial owners of the business. Each owner may need to complete their own identity check.
What the status means
- Not started or pending: you have not finished, or we are waiting for something from you.
- In review: your details are with us and being checked.
- Approved: verification is complete and the features that needed it unlock.
Until verification is approved, features that move money stay unavailable, and the app says so on screen. Olympus Go also waits for approval before it opens.
